About Twist!

Valerie is the lead of Twist! and lives in South Croydon. She has been a member of the Surrey Harmony Chorus for the past 11 years and is currently the lead section leader and assistant director of the chorus. She has been a quartet singer for several years now. Valerie is the Communications Co-ordinator on the Regional Management Team for Sweet Adelines in Region 31, is a regional faculty member of Region 31 and also is a certified director with Sweet Adelines. In her spare time(!) Valerie runs her own company as a data protection and privacy consultant and spends time at home (or jetting off on holiday) with husband David. To email Val

Debbie is the bass of Twist! and lives in Lancing, West Sussex. She was introduced to barbershop in 1981 and has since sung with groups based in Crawley, Hove and Portslade. She even joined a barbershop chorus when she worked in Cyprus for 3 years! Debbie has sung in several successful quartets and consistently been placed in the top 5 at regional competition. Denise is the Baritone of Twist! and lives in Luton. She began singing Barbershop in 1991 with the Welwyn Harmony Chorus and is currently Asst MD and the Baritone section leader. She has sung in two medal winning quartets, Good time Gals and Made to Measure. In her spare time (!) Den also sings with Just A Cappella a mixed singing group based in Hemel Hempstead. She also works as an administrator for a large manufacturing company, but when she is at home she enjoys arranging music. To email Denise

Tenor: Becky Middleton

Becky is the tenor of Twist! and lives in Fareham. She is the director of Coastline Harmony Chorus which is based in Brighton! Becky has been singing barbershop harmony for the past fifteen years, joining her first ever chorus at the age of 15! (Yes, she is the youngest member of the quartet too!) Becky has sung in a few quartets in the past. In 1998 her quartet, Crystal Spirit won the gold and competed in Nashville later that year. Becky also won 4th & 3rd place medals with a different line-up of Crystal Spirit in 2002 & 2003. Becky is a certified director with Sweet Adelines International and is also a regional faculty member for Region 31. In her spare time! Becky works as a management accountant/analyst and spends her time at home with husband Ian. To email Becky
